Commissioning Services providers
As NHS specialist software providers, Asckey have been approved as a key supplier of Clinical Commissioning Groups (CCG’s) business support services, in particular for our N3 hosting services. The Directory of Development Support for commissioning organisations is an on-line search tool for Clinical Commissioning Groups (CCGs) and other commissioning organisations.
The directory developed by NHS England/NHS Commissioning Assembly is a comprehensive listing of a wide range of specialist service providers offering services aligned to specific CCG development needs. The directory brings together a wide variety of offers of development and commissioning support from a range of organisations and networks.
The directory allows users to search for specific development support services. These services have been brought together to offer a variety of real tangible help such as business support, facilitative support, expert advice, skills transfer, networking opportunities and recommendations for improvement from across the market.
Listed suppliers were chosen because of their `deep subject matter expertise’ which will help support commissioners to secure the very best outcomes for specific patient conditions and support services. The new directory brings together a wide variety of offers of development and commissioning support from a range of organisations and networks.
Clinical Commissioning Groups (CCG’s), NHS England and others can buy some or all of their commissioning support needs (from non-frontline support services to bespoke services) from the listings. The framework has been developed provide local clinical commissioners with a simpler and less costly process for securing the support they need from the best quality providers. This move is an important step that will enable commissioners to secure the best outcomes for patients and best value for taxpayers.
Outsourcing of essential services is a key factor in ensuring maximum return on investment and system reliability for essential commissioning services. IT specialist commissioning support partners bring the required knowledge to the non-clinical elements of commissioning so that clinicians can focus on improving healthcare locally.
The NHS commissioning framework has opened up a wider choice of support services with the aim of providing greater innovation and value for money to the NHS. Specialist providers are able to offer strong working partnerships, working with CCG’s towards a shared goal of creating the most effective and efficient commissioning support models.
